Relational Trauma

Relational trauma happens when someone you trusted hurt you instead of offering the safety and connection you needed.

  • Your parents weren’t there for you the way that you needed them to be
  • You were bullied in school, and no one defended you
  • Your partner became abusive or manipulative

These experiences can leave deep emotional wounds that show up in a variety of ways:

  • Self-doubt
  • Difficulty setting boundaries
  • People pleasing
  • Fear of vulnerability
  • Avoiding conflict
  • Relationship anxiety
  • Trust issues
  • Believing you are not “good enough”
  • Believing there is something “wrong” with you

You do not have to carry these wounds any longer. Healing from relational trauma means reconnecting with your inherent worth, learning to feel safe in your own skin, and building relationships that are grounded in respect and authenticity.

Boundaries & Assertiveness

Struggling with boundaries can feel hopeless. You may feel like no matter how hard you try to set boundaries, people don’t listen.

Counselling for boundary issues includes the following:

  • Learning about your assertive rights
  • Practicing boundary setting skills
  • Identifying thoughts and emotions that hold you back
  • Identifying systemic issues that make boundary setting difficult

Living a boundaryless life puts you at risk of burning out, or being harmed by others who do not respect you.

It is time to assert yourself. Book a free consultation now to learn more about how counselling can help.

Parenting

You want to parent well, but it’s hard, especially in moments of stress of overwhelm. Sometimes it feels like you’re carrying the weight of doing it “right” all the time, and you feel as though you don’t measure up.

Counselling can help you:

  • Recognize and shift patterns from your own upbringing
  • Respond to your child with intention instead of reactivity
  • Manage guilt, shame, or self-doubt that comes up in parenting
  • Build a secure, connected relationship with your child
  • Learn to care for yourself as you care for your family
  • Set boundaries with love and confidence
  • Heal from your own childhood wounds that get triggered

Parenting is a journey, and no one was meant to walk that journey alone. Book a free consultation now to learn more about how counselling can help.
